Ruby in Zoisite
Ruby in zoisite, also referred to as anyolite (from the Masai “anyoli” for “green”), is a translucent to opaque gem type composed of ruby crystals, green zoisite, and black hornblende. This unique gem is generally used as an ornamental stone, such as carvings or cabochons, due to its incredible contrast in color. It was first discovered in Tanzania where one of the largest ruby deposits in the world had the gem encased in zoisite. Ruby in zoisite is believed to be assigned to the crown chakra, promoting individuality and retaining connectiveness. It is also thought to be effective on the cardiovascular system. Plus, the carvings are adorable!
