Large 773ct split Ammonite fossil with Ammolite Opal

This large fossil was professionally cut and exhibits a beautiful fibonacci sequence with well defined chambers. The outer shell displays a rainbow of ammolite opal flashing, and you can observe the crisp flaired maple leaf patterned sutures peaking out from behind the opal development. This piece has amazing size, measuring 148.7mm x 122.4mm x 35.7mm (when together) and comes with display stands. This piece originated in the Cretaceous era, and is approximately 100 million years old. Sourced from Madagascar.
