In hand this piece has much stronger play of color than in the pictures, exploding in fiery pinks and reds, electric greens and vibrant oranges and yellows with touches of lavender and teal. It features a well blended mix of chaff and floral patterns that smolder in low light and dazzle in bright light. The play of color is constant. Measuring 10.5mm x 6mm x 4mm, this large example has a low dome cabochon cut giving it incredible surface area, and a liquid luster that glows over its smooth surface. Sourced from Welo, Ethiopia.
